🌮 Where to Eat Next
Written by the Seasons
📍Uptown and Bishop Arts

Written By The Season is exactly what Dallas needs more of: a restaurant that actually cares about what's in season right now, not what was trendy six months ago.
This Michelin-recommended spot started as a Bishop Arts darling back in 2021 and just opened a second location in Uptown at The Quad. The concept is simple but executed beautifully: chef duo Melody Bishop and Dennis Kelly change the menu at least five times a year based on what Texas farmers are harvesting at that exact moment. When the peaches are done, they're done. No forcing it.
The vibe is warm and welcoming, with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood both locations with light (though the Uptown spot leans a bit moodier with dark woods and a gorgeous chocolate-brown marble bar).
The wine list is heavy on natural wines made with organic grapes, and they've got an extensive selection that changes with the seasons too. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends.
